Berlin surrendered three points to Oriental in a match they will rue for days. After racing to a 3–0 lead in the first 10 minutes through goals from Bo Wyminga, Blake Davies and Aiden Bertoli, the team seemed to lose momentum almost immediately. Oriental responded with two goals in the next three minutes and added two more before halftime, heading into the break with a 4–3 advantage.
Right after the restart, Oriental struck twice again to go up 6–3, a scoreline that didn’t reflect the balance of play. Berlin continued to create chances, but an inspired Oriental goalkeeper repeatedly denied them.
Just as frustration began to set in, Berlin clawed back into the match with a burst of goals from Alex Babol and Brett Springer, who scored twice. Oriental regained the lead a minute later, only for Springer to equalize again with two minutes remaining. A 7–7 draw seemed inevitable, but Oriental had one last surprise: a long-range effort just before the buzzer that eluded keeper Juan Almada and sealed a dramatic home victory.
Brett Springer earned Player of the Match honors after completing a hat trick.
