FC Berlin’s opening weeks in the MASL-W could hardly have gone any better. Our debut in the league has been nothing short of eye-catching, starting with a dominant 30–5 away win against the Youngstown Nighthawks, followed by a hard-fought 9–4 loss to Cincinnati Sirens FC. Then, on December 27th, Berlin shocked the league once again by defeating Detroit City FC 10–7, handing Detroit their first-ever regular season loss.
Those performances have not gone unnoticed. The league has recognized Berlin’s strong start by nominating three of our players for the MASL-W Player of the Month award.
Leading the way is goalkeeper Sarah-Anisha Bradbury, whose outstanding displays between the posts have been a key part of Berlin’s early success. Joining her is Hope Windebank, the Guyana international who was deservedly named Player of the Match in the historic win against Detroit City FC. Rounding out the trio is Alliyah Rowe, who has been simply unstoppable, currently leading the league in goals (15), assists (8), total points (23), and points per game (7.7) after just four matches.
It’s a well-earned recognition for our players and a clear reflection of the quality and depth within the FC Berlin squad. Becoming the first Canadian team to compete in the Major Arena Soccer League was a huge milestone—but this group is clearly aiming for much more.
