We've got great news to share! Michael Riedel, a very agile and skilled goalkeeper who has been with FC Berlin for just over a season, has committed to University of Pittsburgh - Bradford and will join the NCAA Division III Panthers in the fall of 2024.
Riedel, an honours student at Waterdown District High School is also a very accomplished student. Before joining FC Berlin, he was the captain of the Flamborough Dundas Soccer Club 05 Boys squad and played for the WDHS team.
Ryan Neceski, Head Recruiter and Founder at Next Level U Sports said:
"Michael has been someone who from a young age has had the desire to compete at the next level. He has been committed to his development since Day 1 and has always set high goals for himself. I am very excited for Michael to now fulfil his dreams of playing NCAA soccer at a great soccer program that a former FC Berlin/NLU Sports Goalkeeper has attended in the past. Best of luck to Michael on this new journey!"
Michael will study Kinesiology and play in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). His team's first game is on September 1st.
Congratulations, Michael!!
