FC Berlin had a disappointing debut in the GRSL Coed League on Monday night. Despite a valiant effort, the team was outplayed by a tight, organized, and talented opponent that made the most of the chances they created.
On the Berlin side, frustration was the word of the day. There were solid performances from Thomas Nunan, Florencia Almada, and debutant Dave Varandas, but overall, the team struggled to find its rhythm. Every time Berlin seemed close to levelling the score, Friends FC managed to pull ahead again.
The final 11–7 score was a fair reflection of the night’s action. FC Berlin will now regroup and look to bounce back next Monday when they take on Goal Diggers FC.
