It was a very busy weekend for Berlin FA, as we were hosting our 2nd Annual Berlin Combine. On Sunday, we took a little break at around noon and we celebrated the success of one of our best prospects, Sophia Coelho, who is now on her way to the Midwest, as she will join Coach Erika Hackmann (in attendance) at Lindenwood University - Belleville.

Coelho, 18, is a Cambridge resident who played for the Monsignor Doyle Mustangs but has also left a mark on our academy since her very first day. She will be playing for the Lindenwood Lynx in NAIA.

With Berlin FA, Sophia has played 22 games so far, with 11 goals scored and 5 Player of the Match awards earned. She has the honour of having scored the very first goal in the history of our Berlin Academy XI Girls program.

Congratulations, Sophia!!! We at Berlin FA are very happy for you, and look forward to the good news coming from SW Illinois this fall!
